Medicaid T-MSIS Analytic File (TAF) and Medicaid Analytic Extract (MAX) Data for Research

The Medicaid T-MSIS Analytic File (TAF) and Medicaid Analytic Extract (MAX) data workshop is an introductory-level, didactic+interactive workshop, delivered virtually via Zoom, which will walk attendees through information on the Medicaid program, creation of data files, and Medicaid enrollment data and claims data from clinical visits, hospitalizations, long term care, and other care covered under the Medicaid program. Its content consists of several segments, as well as some preparatory 'homework' video segments and materials for those needing more background. Medicaid is many programs (one in each state); as such, we will not touch on every permutation but provide guiding principles for undertaking a research study using TAF and MAX data.

Presenters are expert CMS and Medicaid data users and have taught similar workshops for several years; they will present material in regular presentations, through activities, and help in question-and-answer sessions.
