Biography

Dr. Jarosek is a researcher in the Division of Health Policy and Management at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, where she currently supports the SEER-Medicare and SEER-Medicaid Scientific and Technical Support Services contracts. Previously, she served as Director of Data and Training for ResDAC—a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Center. Her work focused on helping researchers understand the strengths, weaknesses and applications of CMS administrative data.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Jarosek served as Co-Director of the Clinical Disparities Scholar Program (CDSP) within the Center for Healthy African American Men through Partnerships (CHAAMPS), mentoring junior researchers conducting disparities research using large administrative, clinical registry, and survey datasets. She was also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at the University of Minnesota Medical School, where she guided surgeons in leveraging secondary data to answer clinical research questions.
